Midlifers: Has the life you’re living become unrecognizable as your own?

Many people spend the first part of their lives expanding in the material world.

You get educated, build careers, start families, and accumulate stuff.  Think of it as a whirl of activity in the bottom half of an hour glass.  Then at some point, in a single moment sometimes undefinable, something draws you up into the center of the hour glass where you can no longer breathe in the life you yourself created.

Some of you might get stuck there while others drop back down into your comfort zone. And some are brave enough to squeeze through that tunnel into another expanse.  It is there that you gather the courage to create the next part of your life.

Imagine a more meaningful life…

Imagine feeling at home in yourself, your life is your own, and there is nothing in your way. You wake up every day eager to explore the world and you go to bed satisfied by a day well-lived.  You breathe with clarity, confidence, and creativity knowing you are fully aligned with your purpose.

Imagine how wonderful it would be to achieve whatever you set your mind to – to know that there is nothing that you cannot be or do or have. To be given the opportunity to succeed in every aspect of your life – to feel completely fulfilled and at peace.

So, why are so many people stuck living a life that no longer suits them?

Sometimes you find that who you’ve been no longer aligns with who you are becoming. A deeper sense inside you says something is not right, and though you can’t pinpoint it, you can definitely feel it.

Finding yourself in these uncharted waters can leave you unsure of what to do or where to look for guidance. It may feel safer to ride the tide rather than choose another direction. It may feel that where you are is “good enough” for now.

Until you realize that you can no longer breathe. You’re stuck because the tide has drifted you to a place that, well … isn’t where you want to be.

Five keys to fixing it all and living your life to the fullest:

Here are the five keys to steering your life from where it is now (not so hot) to where you want it to be (really yummy).

  1. Imagine your best self, your deepest desires, and ideal life.
  2. Identify the various ways to bring that image to life.
  3. Remove the road blocks along the way, physical, mental and emotional.
  4. Gather the tools and support you will need to make it real.
  5. Take steps to be that person, do what you want, and have that life.

This is where I jump in.

I work with mid-lifers who feel suffocated by their current life – they feel dull and flat. Through life coaching, hypnotherapy, and spiritual guidance, I help them to implement the five keys above and find their best self. In the end, they have created a more authentic, meaningful life.
